Star Wars legend Mark Hamill's been branching out the past few years. This year, the legendary voice actor is set to give life to the horrifying doll Chucky in the upcoming horror movie Child's Play, and somehow Star Trek legend William Shatner just can't help but make fun of Hamill's latest gig.
Taking to Twitter, the actor best known for playing Captain Kirk in the very first Star Trek series decided to make fun of Hamill's latest Chucky post. Congratulating Hamill on landing the role, Shatner tells Hamill that he's just become like his father, a comment that Star Wars fans definitely won't miss.
"Happy to know that the next generation of youth will be deathly afraid of you. You have become your father! Seriously, congratulations on the role," Shatner writes in his tweet.

The post comes as a response to Hamill's previous tweet sharing a new trailer for Childs Play. While we'd like to say that Shatner has some sort of ill intent making fun of Hamill this way, Star Wars fans have know long since known the Star Trek actor would definitely riff off the Star Wars legend's casting.
It's fun learning about this entirely different side to Hamill, especially when we're getting to see Hamill exchange tweets together with Shatner. For those who aren't familiar with the character, Chuck Ray serves as the main antagonist of the Child's Play slasher film series and in this year's reboot of the franchise, Chucky is being brought to life by Hamill.
Child's Play premieres on June 21.
