Stan Lee Claims Leonardo DiCaprio Wants To Portray Him In A Biopic

Stan Lee is the most popular comic book icon ever, and there is nobody at his level. While it's arguable that current writers have surpassed him, none of them have the pop culture presence that Stan "The Man" has. Lee is also known for his sense of humor, and he recently claimed that Leonardo DiCaprio wants to portray him in a biopic

As Comic Book reports, Lee told fans in a panel from Wizard Con that DiCaprio is a huge Marvel fan who supposedly has plenty of posters and comic books in his house. Lee's manager Max Anderson even said that DiCaprio gushed to the former writer when getting his autograph, which would be a site to see.

When Lee and DiCaprio supposedly started discussing the biopic, Lee joked around, saying "I'm not sure you're good looking enough." The former Marvel editor then claimed that they would test him and see if it works out, so Leo "shouldn't get too excited." It's this kind of humor that always puts a smile on Lee's fan base.

Admittedly, a biopic on Stan Lee wouldn't be impossible to imagine. The man single handedly changed comics for the better, introducing more relatable superheroes like Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four. He even went against the Comics Code Authority, so he could tackle the issue of drugs in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man.

Though a film centered on Lee isn't out of the question, we will have to wait for more news, especially if Leonardo DiCaprio is interested. In the meantime, fans can look forward to Lee's upcoming cameos in Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and so much more.
