Stan Lee Announces Plans for New Superhero Nitron Franchise

After Spider-Man, the Avengers, Iron Man and The Hulk, Stan Lee is at it again. This time, he's introducing a new superhero franchise called Nitron.

It's not just a one-man/woman show. Rather, Lee announced that the concept of the story will revolve around intelligent and advanced species of Nitronians set in the modern-day world, Press Pass LA reported.

Lee has already confirmed that he will be working with Keya Morgan and Michael Benaroya on the project. In tandem with Benaroya Pictures, Nitron will see light in feature films, TV, online and comic book platforms.

For now, this is the only think we heard of about Lee's new project. While the definition has a very broad stroke that hints at X-Men and The Avengers alike, Benaroya did hint that the series will be an extraordinary one.

"I can say that Stan has created an intricate story and mythology with characters that are unconventional yet relatable. Overall, I think Stan's NITRON concept is fun and is new. Beyond entertaining lots of comic fans, we see value in comics as a great way to ignite fan enthusiasm and engagement for broader content plays."

Partner in the project Morgan also had stated that this new creation from Lee will be a fresh take and breakthrough amidst the onslaught of sequels and prequels in the industry today.

There are some specific details on the Nitron comic book. That is, it will be a six-volume series with paperbacks set to sell at US$5 each. There will also be issues coming to the online sphere, with both versions coming sometime in January 2017.
