Following the show's massive success when it premiered in 2021, fans worldwide have been patiently waiting for the second season of Netflix's megahit Squid Game.
So far, the details regarding the show's follow-up are being kept under wraps although we know that Seong Gi-hun, the Front Man, Hwang Jun-ho, and Gong Yoo's mysterious salesman character are all confirmed to return.
Production already began last year and, since then, fans have been looking forward for Netflix to drop the first look for the highly-anticipated new season.
Now, after years of waiting, we finally have our very first tease on the show's return later this year.

Squid Game Season 2 Teaser Released by Netflix
Netflix has released the very first teaser for the upcoming second season of Squid Game as part of its "Next on Netflix 2024: The Series & Films Preview" promo video.
The 15-second preview showed the aftermath of the final scene of the first season finale when Gi-hun decided to not board the plane and stay in Korea to investigate who was responsible for the games.
The mysterious caller warned Gi-hun that he would regret his decision. The former Player 456 responded by expressing his determination to find the answers "no matter what it takes."

It is certainly exciting that we finally have our very first look at the upcoming season after years of anticipation of its follow-up. While the footage was short, it was still a good tease and set-up on Gi-hun's next journey.
However, fans need to wait for a couple of months before they'll get a full preview of the new season since production is still ongoing (or at least in its final stages at this point) and they'll be able to learn more about what they have in store for the show's next chapter.
Netflix has not set a release date yet for the second season of Squid Game but it is confirmed to arrive later this year.
