Spy x Family Fans Gush Over Anya Forger's Possible Brother from Jujutsu Kaisen

If you have watched the first episode of Spy x Family this weekend, there's a good chance you have fallen in love with the adorable little Anya Forger. After all, the tiny telepath has a sweet and pure energy that eventually won over her adoptive father Loid Forger. Not surprisingly, some fans are claiming that they have seen the same type of energy from another pink-haired anime character and are now comparing Anya to Jujutsu Kaisen's Yuji Itadori!

There is little doubt that Spy x Family and Jujutsu Kaisen are worlds apart but the two shows have one important thing in common: the storyline centers around a pink-haired character who is also a pure soul. It didn't take long for viewers to make the connection between Anya Forger and Yuji Itadori who could be brother and sister if they were in the same series.

Interestingly, Anya and Yuji are not the only characters from these shows who are being compared to each other. Fans are also pointing out that Spy x Family's Loid Forger aka Twilight is fairly similar to Kento Nanami, who serves as a mentor to Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen. Both characters are tall, blond, good-looking father figures who deal with stress on a regular basis so it's not hard to see.

Spy x Family is based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo and follows master spy Twilight as he enlists an assassin and a telepath to create a fake family in order to execute a mission. By contrast, Jujutsu Kaisen is a supernatural manga by Gege Akutami that focuses on sorcerers fighting powerful Curses to keep the world safe. Although they are very different, both animes are already well on their way to being huge hits.

Spy x Family Episode 2 will be broadcast on April 16 2022. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere in Winter 2023.
