SpongeBob SquarePants Spinoff The Patrick Star Show Drops Hilarious New Teaser

It's no secret that Patrick Star is one of the more underrated characters in SpongeBob SquarePants. Luckily, everybody's favorite pink starfish is finally getting the spotlight he deserves. The hilarious first teaser for the spin-off series The Patrick Star Show has just been dropped.

The teaser opens with Patrick realizing that it's almost time for his show. He later declares that he has finally found his "true porpoise" and is promptly corrected that it's pronounced "purpose."

At one point, Patrick even reads out a disclaimer confirming that all the characters and names traded in the production are suspicious especially his. He further assured the viewers that no one was harmed during the filming of the show. That is, except him. Ouch.

The Patrick Star Show will be a talk show hosted by the titular SpongeBob SquarePants character and his own family is expected to play a major role in making the show work. As the teaser suggests, we'll also be seeing SpongeBob in the series.

The description for The Patrick Star Show reads as follows:

"The Patrick Star Show is coming to Nickelodeon! Follow everyone's favorite sea star at home with his family as he hosts an imaginary variety show that comes from the bizarre and hysterical depths of his own brain."

The series will feature the voices of Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star, Tom Wilson as Cecil Star, Cree Summer as Bunny Star, Jill Stalley as Squidina Star, and Dana Snyder as Grandpa Star. The Patrick Star Show has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere on Nickelodeon in July 2021.
