Woodard may have played the highly anticipated wife of Nick Fury, but she is best known for playing more prominent roles in the M. Night Shyamalan franchise. She was Elijah's Mother in Unbreakable and Mrs. Price in the 2019 flick Glass.

In addition to that, she also took a spin on her talent in Days of Our Lives by portraying Desiree McCall across 46 episodes, Terissa Dyson in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and even in Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches as Dolly Jean Mayfair.

More importantly, though, Woodard made history by becoming the first Black actress to play Cinderella on TV and film on ABC's 1978 musical production titled Cindy.

Now, without further ado, here's who Aunt Lucinda is and her significance in pushing the story forward.

Exploring Aunt Lucinda's Role in The Spiderwick Chronicles

Aunt Lucinda, in The Spiderwick Chronicles' original books and 2008 flick, was none other than the only daughter of Arthur Spiderwick, the man who wrote the book about the mystical creatures lurking around his old home.

If it hadn't been for her advice on scattering salt around the windows and how to use her father's tools properly, Jared and his family would have been long gone from the real world.

Unfortunately, because everybody refused to believe Lucinda's warnings about the unseen creatures, she was sent to be looked after for her ongoing 'hallucinations' when all she wanted to do was to be with her father again.

At a young age, her father saved her from being taken away by the faeries by sacrificing himself.

But don't worry though, by the end of it, Lucinda managed to rejoin her father in that otherworldly place where they could catch up on their lost time together.
