Spider-Man PS4 Has Gone Gold

No delays are expected, as Insomniac Games has announced that Spider-Man PS4 has gone gold. For those unaware of the term, that means the game is finished and the developers will only have to work on fixing a few bugs or DLC. It is great that the game is complete a month or two before it hits game stores so fans won't have to worry about delays.

Insomniac celebrated by mimicking one of the most popular Spider-Man memes on the internet by having their version of the character in a desk that simply says "gone gold." It's a nice touch and shows that the developers are internet savvy when it comes to the character. Here is hoping that we see a few more of these memes in the game.

The game is one of the more anticipated superhero titles coming out, though some are sad that it's a PS4 exclusive. It's clearly inspired by the Batman: Arkham games, which is ideal since the rhythm-based combat works with Spider-Man's spider-sense. Web-swinging also looks great and having unlockable costumes will keep players playing.

With villains like Mr. Negative, Silver Sable, Electro, and gameplay that looks really fun, this could be the best Spider-Man game in years. Here is hoping that the title lives up to the hype.

Spider-Man PS4 comes out on September 7.
