Spider-Man: No Way Home's trailer finally premiered after months of anticipation but much to the chagrin of Marvel fans all over the globe, the said teaser didn't confirm Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's rumored involvement in the film. Ever since it was confirmed that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx were set to reprise their villainous non-MCU roles in the project, webheads were under the impression that Maguire and Garfield would follow suit which of course makes all the sense in the world.
Despite the trailer's lack of Tobey and Andrew and the studios' previous denial regarding their involvement, fans are still convinced that the two are actually showing up in the film, one way or the other. Even Hollywood's "trusted" insiders are more than convinced that the actors are in the film and it still remains a mystery why Marvel and Sony have been trying to keep it under wraps.
As for Tobey, fans believe that No Way Home's official trailer may have dropped hints about his involvement. When Doc Ock shows up at the end of the trailer, he is seen greeting Peter Parker but we never really see him come face-to-face with Tom Holland. This has led a lot of people to speculate that Molina is actually talking to Maguire's version of the character.

It does make a ton of sense because Molina and Maguire obviously shared history over at the "RaimiVerse". Plus, the idea of Octavius actually knowing Earth-616's version of Parker seems a bit odd not unless, of course, he did his research before turning up in an alternate dimension which is almost impossible to do given that he's probably not aware that other realities exist. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in cinemas on December 17, 2021.
