It may have been an incredibly unusual slow build for a Marvel flick but a full month ahead of its anticipated release, Spider-Man: No Way Home is finally kicking things in high gear, and rightfully so. The upcoming joint production between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures finally released its highly anticipated second trailer which comes three months after the debut teaser was released and if you thought the first one left a lot for webheads to unpack, wait until you see the new one.

The trailer finally offers us our very first look at returning villains such as Electro, Lizard, Sandman, and Green Goblin. The real question is, is Peter Parker actually going up against them by himself? The three-minute teaser also reveals that the multiversal portal was actually accessed when Peter Parker asked Doctor Strange for help to once again conceal his identity as Spider-Man. So does that mean all the WandaVision and Loki theories can be laid to rest now?

Also, something is totally up with Doc Ock who's seemingly being set up in the film as an ally of Peter Parker and company. Check out the jaw-dropping trailer below:

All I can truly say is, what a time to be alive! Spider-Man: No Way Home is making good on its claim as the "most ambitious superhero film ever made" and quite frankly, the film's plot and all the rumors surrounding it speak for itself. Now, I totally get why Sony and Marvel decided not to include Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and as frustrating as it is, I gotta say that it's effective in building up the excitement even more.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is slated for theatrical release on December 17.
