Marvel Studios has been quite notorious for the level of secrecy that goes into the films they make and now that Spider-Man: No Way Home is only a few days away from its highly anticipated release, you can best believe that the studio along with its collaborator Sony Pictures is going to do its best to keep things airtight to avoid major spoilers from circulating online.

We've heard stories over the last couple of years of how actors like Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo find it hard not to spill anything about their Marvel projects. Turns out, Marvel's confidentiality is also too much to handle for Marvel Cinematic Universe star Marisa Tomei and according to the Aunt May actress, it forced her to spoil No Way Home's ending to someone she absolutely trusts — in this case, her own therapist.

In an interview with BackstageOL, Tomei revealed that the extreme pressure left her without a choice but to spill the beans to her trusty therapist. She said: "Only my therapist knows the ending. I had to be under oath and I had to tell someone."

Honestly, we can't blame Tomei if she had to spoil the film's ending given the environment Marvel stars are working under. At least, she didn't pull a Tom Holland and let the whole world know about it. I gotta say though, it's intriguing why Tomei was forced to "break the rules". It makes me think that something totally grand could happen in No Way Home but we still don't know for sure at this point.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas on December 17, 2021.
