Peter B. Parker may not have been the ideal mentor in the first half of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse but Jake Johnson is clearly the hero we need these days. The New Girl star has just announced that he will be sending some special messages that could encourage children during the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).
Johnson made the announcement on his official Instagram account. In the post, he stated that he wanted to help parents and their children deal with self-isolation in his own special way. Take a look at the post below.
"Since the quarantine, a lot of parents have DM'd me saying they've been watching Spiderverse with their kids. A lot," Johnson wrote. "So, here's my idea. If your child is home from school and wants a quick encouraging message from Peter B Peter, then send me an email with their name and I'll try and send over a short voice note. If I don't get to you, I apologize," he concluded before adding the hashtag #stayhome.
It's an awesome idea that should lift the spirits of all those kids who are currently stuck at home and are probably worried about the pandemic. Needless to say, fans are already sending messages to Johnson in hopes of getting a voicemail from him. You can do the same by sending an email to peterbparkersayshi@gmail.com.
A sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is scheduled for release on April 8, 2022.
