Spider-Man: Homecoming Director Teases After-Credits Scenes

What are Marvel movies without their after-credits scenes? With Sony's Spider-Man finally joining the universe, director Jon Watts teases some fun scenes for us after the credits roll.

This was apparently teased during Sydney's Supanova Comic-Con during a Spider-Man: Homecoming panel:

With Spider-Man being one of the funnier heroes this side of the MCU, you can expect that the movie will be a lot of fun even after it ends. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 did a whole new thing where it had a total of five after-credits scenes, so it's curious what Watts has in store for Homecoming. We can expect at least two scenes, going by traditional Marvel standards.

I'm guessing that the credits will involve either a set-up for Avengers: Infinity War, or a teaser to which villain is coming to the Spider-verse next. With Venom set to come out next year, it's entirely possible for a teaser by the end of this movie—maybe even a Black & Silver set-up.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
