Sony Producer Amy Pascal Confirms Venom Is Part Of The MCU Beside Kevin Feige

Fans have been furiously arguing ever since it was announced that Sony was moving forward with their Venom spinoff movie since the assumption was that it will take place outside of the established MCU. Fans can put all those worries to rest though, as Amy Pascal confirms—with Marvel head Kevin Feige at her side— that Venom along with all the other upcoming Sony movies will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

She confirms it here in an interview with Film Starts:

After Kevin Feige said that Marvel had "no plan for Venom in the MCU," a lot of people were positive that he meant that Venom wasn't part of it. Apparently, some people didn't hold on to the fact that it wasn't outright saying that Venom's story will take place outside of the shared universe.

Well, I'm happy, and every other fanboy should rest at ease, knowing that Sony and Marvel are still doing good by their decision to share universe. If this all comes along nicely, 20th Century Fox may follow suit and finally give us an X-Men reboot that we want to see. To be honest, I'm not looking too forward for Dark Phoenix. Am I supposed to believe that Fassbender and McAvoy are already in their 60s by this time? Ridiculous.

Venom is set to come out October of next year, and Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theater July 7.
