Spider-Man: Far from Home Easter Egg Seemingly Confirms Who the Elementals Really Are

Spider-Man: Far from Home had just dropped two new trailers and each of them gives us a look at ‘The Elementals." What's interesting is, these are all actually based on real Spider-Man villains, and they're all hinted at in the trailer as well.

This was pointed out by Silas Lesnick on Twitter, who found that some numbers spotted in the trailer have a significant meaning:

The license plate 2865 SEP is a possible reference to Amazing Spider-Man #28 (which came out Sept. 25). That comic was the first appearance of Molten Man. The boat behind Ned with the label "Asm 212" could be based on Amazing Spider-Man #212 which introduced Hydro-Man.

Lastly, there's the plate "463" which could reference Spider-Man #4 (1963) which introduced Sandman—a villain we've previously seen in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3.

The cool thing about Spider-Man: Homecoming was how it was able to market Vulture as the main villain while at the same time giving us minor villains like The Tinkerer, Scorpion, two Shockers, and Prowler (if you count Donald Glover's Aaron Davis). It looks like they're doing the same with this movie.

While we have Mysterio as the main antagonist, the Elementals are based on real comic villains like Molten Man, Hydro-Man, and even Sandman. I wonder if Flint Marko will make an appearance in this film?

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 5.
