- Primary Subject: Spider-Man and Daredevil
- Key Update: Matt Murdock was publicly unmasked and sent to prison in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale, while Peter Parker is set to receive the Key to the City in the upcoming film.
- Status: Confirmed

- Quick Answer: While Charlie Cox denies involvement, his character’s new prison status and the presence of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher strongly suggest a crossover in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Spider-Man and Daredevil’s alliance becomes more complicated in the MCU following the surprising Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale.
While Episode 8, “The Southern Cross,” delivered a major fan-favorite return, it wasn’t Peter Parker as some viewers had expected.
So, is there still a chance for these two costumed heroes to team up in the future?
Will the MCU Finally Bring Spider-Man and Daredevil Together?

Spider-Man and Daredevil have worked together several times in Marvel Comics history. The two even met in the MCU in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Matt Murdock served as Peter Parker’s lawyer.
With their natural connection as street-level superheroes, not to mention the fact that both operate in New York City, it’s surprising that they have yet to form a full-fledged alliance in the MCU.
Marvel Studios is evidently building toward more grounded, street-level stories, with the introduction of vigilantes, crime, and neighborhood conflicts in shows and films like Daredevil: Born Again and the Spider-Man movie series.
With that being said, it looks like a Daredevil and Spider-Man team-up is just waiting to happen–it’s only a matter of when.
Will Daredevil Appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home

There are several moments when Spider-Man could have appeared in other MCU projects, given that he exists in the same continuity.
For one, he arguably should have been in Thunderbolts*, rescuing citizens from the Void’s shadows and saving many lives.
He also could have appeared in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale, especially since he received the Key to the City from Sheila Rivera, Mayor Wilson Fisk’s assistant and political advisor, for his service to New York in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer.
With his absence from the show, the film may need to explain how Spider-Man's public actions became widely known, ultimately leading to him earning such recognition.
However, with Matt Murdock now in prison, it’s also possible that the Brand New Day prison sequence involving the Hand could feature him as well.
Speaking about Daredevil’s potential appearance in Brand New Day, Charlie Cox previously dismissed the possibility in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
However, given that Marvel actors are often under strict NDA restrictions, he also noted that he would likely deny involvement even if it were true.
“Now, if I was in the movie, I would also say no, to be clear. Right. But I’m not in the movie,” he explained.
Kimmel attempted to press Cox further, but Cox stood firm: “I’m definitely not in the movie. I’m not lying.”
To be fair, the actor previously confirmed his involvement in No Way Home, where Daredevil caught a brick thrown through Peter’s window when he visited his home for legal help.
Since Brand New Day takes place after No Way Home and follows the events of Born Again Season 2, fans believe a Spider-Man and Daredevil team-up is still possible–though Cox is unlikely to confirm anything ahead of time.
Born Again Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Disney+, while Brand New Day is set to release on July 31, 2026.
