Thomas Haden Church is a veteran actor, but a lot of comic book movie fans know him as Sandman from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. As it turns out, Church is coming back to the comic book scene, and he's playing another villain in the Hellboy reboot starring David Harbour.
As confirmed by Discussing Film, Church will be playing the villain Lobster Johnson, a vigilante from the 30s who had a penchant for violence and burning his lobster symbol on his victim's foreheads.

We don't know much about Johnson's role in the film, but I'm guessing it's only going to be some small cameo. After all, the main villain is Milla Jovovich's Blood Queen. My guess is that Lobster Johnson will be one random case that Hellboy will be tasked to solve before he gets a lot more serious with the Blood Queen.
Of course, I could be totally wrong and Lobster Johnson ends up in a substantial role in the movie.
Though a lot of people were originally against it, it seems that more fans have finally come onboard with the upcoming Hellboy reboot. It is sad that we don't get to see a conclusion to Ron Perlman's version of the character, but Harbour looks downright amazing in costume, plus he's an amazing actor. I have no doubt everyone will be embracing this new Hellboy in no time.
Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
Hellboy is set for a release on April 12, 2019.
