Spider-Man 3 Gets an Early 2021 Start Date

Tom Holland is currently in the middle of shooting the Uncharted movie for Sony, and afterwards he's set to get right back to work with the highly-anticipated Spider-Man 3. With the movie expected to hit production soon, we now have a solid window on when cameras can start rolling.

According to The Direct, Marvel Studios and Sony are planning to start production for Spider-Man 3 in Winter 2021. Before you panic and think that the film will start shooting in December of next year, they actually mean that the start window is referring to January or February of 2021.

Admittedly, this feels like Sony and Marvel are playing it really close to the chest, seeing that the movie is expected to premiere in December of the same year. With all this time in quarantine to really polish up pre-production though, I'm hoping things will start to run smoothly by the time production starts. Hopefully, by that time COVID-19 won't be as rampant—just look at what happened to the production of The Batman.

With the new production plans in mind, it's likely we won't get a teaser for Spider-Man 3 before the year ends. Then again, it's possible they could release some kind of teaser before production starts. With Marvel Studios not being in the spotlight right now, everyone is eager to see the return of Peter Parker on the big screen.
