Spawn is Friends With Batman in Mortal Kombat 11

Spawn will be coming to Mortal Kombat 11soon but some early gameplay has already been shown to the public, from his finisher to the various intros the character can have with other fighters. Interestingly enough, fans have discovered that one particular intro with Spawn and Raiden reveals that the classic Image Comics character knows Batman, possibly confirming that some of the Batman/Spawn one-shots are canon to a certain degree.

When Raiden points out how Spawn looks similar to another "Dark Knight," the demonic anti-hero recognizes the term and identifies him as a billionaire playboy, before claiming that they are friends. It's a nice touch and one that a lot of comic book fans appreciate. Others also like that friend bit since Spawn's actor Keith David is good friends with Batman's voice actor Kevin Conroy.

Before anyone starts speculating, no, I don't think they're going to add Batman to the game. Batman's no killer and that's basically what these characters do to each other in every fight of this game. Can you imagine Batman with a Fatality? That's not very DC and it's why he will only appear in the Injustice fighting games.

That's not a bad thing though. Those games are awesome. We were actually hoping to see Spawn in Injustice 2 but that never happened, unfortunately.

Spawn will become available to Kombat Pack owners on March 17. Mortal Kombat 11 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
