One of the longest-running satirical comedy animated series remains to be relevant as South Park released their Post-COVID Special and it isn’t something in their ordinary course of storytelling with everyone shocked to learn of the death of Kenny McCormick and this time, it is for real. The news resonated with everyone and at his funeral, they look at who the suspects are.

The South Park Post-COVID Special was an hourlong episode which jumps into the future and it is set decades after the four main characters stopped speaking to each other. What is in store for them is not as bright for all. For Stan, he became an online whiskey consultant with a holographic Alexa as his girlfriend, and he was the one to receive the call from Kyle – Kenny McCormick is dead.

Kenny was Stan’s elementary friend, when the others learned about his death, one of them, Jimmy, who became a successful late night talk show host even cancelled one of the specials guests, “First Lady Tom Kardashian,” and during the funeral of Kenny, the suspects were all present. Cartman was converted to Judaism and he was there, too.

The cause of death on the on-record of Kenny is the COVID Delta + Rewards variant and in South Park, the whole town was put into quarantine as one of them was unvaccinated. Clyde said that he is allergic to shellfish and for that reason, he doesn’t want to get the shot.

In the end, Stan, Kyle, and Cartman admitted that they were the reason Kenny died because the pandemic was a test to their characters, and when they lost the fun in their spirit and their sense of humor, they failed to pass. Before the show shuts, the right-hand man of Kenny was held in South Park Mental Asylum Plus where it was revealed that he is not Victor Chaws, but rather, his last name was Chaos.

South Park Post-COVID Special is exclusively available on Paramount Plus. Paramount Plus has two subscription options: the basic version ad-supported Paramount+ Essential service costs $4.99 per month, and an ad-free premium plan for $9.99 per month.
