It's been rumored for months that the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel will see every Marvel film universe collide with one another and while the idea may have sounded a little too farfetched when it first circulated, the appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home pretty much tells you that anything is now possible in the MCU.
Now, according to the latest reports, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will feature an epic showdown between Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Professor X with Jean Grey also getting involved. It's unclear which versions of the beloved X-Men characters will show up in the film but the entire MCU fandom is convinced that Sophie Turner and James McAvoy are the ones reprising their mutant roles.
It all started when recently surfaced photos of both actors made their way online and it turns out, Sophie and James are sporting their iconic looks from the X-Men franchise. Naturally, it fueled more speculation about their potential involvement in Doctor Strange 2. Check it out here.

Some fans may think that it's all coincidental but when was the last time Turner, who's naturally blonde, sported red hair? Also, Multiverse of Madness is said to have undergone substantial reshoots and I have a good feeling Jean Grey and Charles Xavier were involved. Again, with all the craziness that has been going on in the MCU, virtually anything is possible. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
