Sony's Masters of the Universe Reboot Has Been Postponed Indefinitely

If you were one of the many fans who were looking forward to Sony's upcoming Masters of the Universe reboot, you're in for some bad news. The studio has removed the He-Man movie from their schedule, essentially stating that this film is in limbo. Don't expect much news on this film from here on out, which is a bit disappointing since we would have liked to see what Sony would have done with this property.

Deadline has stated that Sony's Uncharted movie with Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg has taken the place of the Masters of the Universe film, taking its March 2021 release date. It seems like that movie, despite losing its 6th director, has more going for it than the He-Man movie right now, hence the change in schedules.

Considering how very little has come from Sony's Masters of the Universe announcement, aside from casting Noah Centineo as He-Man, this was probably inevitable. Thankfully, there is a lot of He-Man content for fans to enjoy, like the two upcoming animated shows coming to Netflix. The fact that Masters of the Universe isn't a Netflix original movie is actually a bit surprising but things can always change.

This won't be the last time we hear of He-Man but don't expect much for Masters of the Universe. Netflix at least has some shows coming up but it looks like this movie is now in limbo.
