The new Sonic the Hedgehog 2 teaser was dropped by the film's official Twitter account as a promo ahead of Super Bowl 2022. Interestingly, the teaser sets up the face-off between Sonic and Knuckles like the football game and Doctor Robotnik is their enthusiastic spectator. In addition to that, there is more interesting footage from the highly anticipated sequel.
It's an awesome teaser and one that hypes up the film perfectly well. In addition to that, it's a great way to get people excited about the big game tonight.
So what can we expect in Sonic the Hedgehog 2? There is little doubt that the fight between Sonic and Knuckles is going to be the highlight of the sequel. However, there are also speculations that the movie will introduce more characters and a new adventure for the video game hero.
For now, it's highly unlikely that Knuckles will be a minor character in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. After all, the echidna will be voiced by Idris Elba and fans are hoping that Knuckles will get to prove that he is one of the good guys. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what happens to the character in the sequel.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is directed by Jeff Fowler and will star James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Idris Elba, and Jim Carrey. The sequel hits theaters on April 8, 2022.
Super Bowl 2022 will pit the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams. Super Bowl LVI takes place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
