Song Joong Ki Surprises A Volunteer By Granting A Request

On August 2, Song Joong Ki became the talk of the town again after he did something for an unknown dance festival for the disabled. One volunteer for Korea International Accessible Festival (KIADA) shared a heartwarming story about Joong Ki online.

The volunteer said that he sent Song Joong Ki an email in July, asking if he could film a 30-second promotional video for KIADA. For starters, the Korea International Accessible Festival allows disabled children and adults to express themselves through dance.

"I've been volunteering for 'KIADA' for about three years. 'KIADA' is a festival which allows disabled children and adults to express their emotions through dance. Although it's an international festival, not many people know about it. It's not sponsored by any companies either. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was even harder to promote the festival this year."

The former husband of Encounter actress Song Hye Kyo, according to the source, responded to the email and asked for more details about KIADA. The volunteer shared he did not hear from Song Joong Ki for about a month until recently.

"Then just the other day, he sent us this amazing video of himself promoting our festival. We were very touched when we watched the video. We simply wanted him to say hi to the camera, but he had put in so much time and effort for it when we couldn't pay him anything," the volunteer said.

"I could see why everyone keeps going on about how incredible Song Joong Ki's personality is. I still can't believe he accepted a stranger's request and did all this for us. Thank you so much," it went on.

In a statement, Song Joong Ki's management agency, History D&C, shared the actor wanted to be of help. So, when Joong Ki told them that he was free to film the requested video, they shot it immediately.

"It's not easy to accept this sort of requests even if it's for a good cause because of our actor's busy schedule as well as contract details with production companies. It's also not fair if we do this one but don't do the other one. But the timing was just right for this particular one. We're glad we were able to help."

Of course, devoted followers of Song Joong Ki were quick to react to the heartwarming story. A fan even praised the actor for being so generous in promoting the Korea International Accessible Festival.

"I stan a very generous and kind man! I have a special
son with autism who lives in a group home here in the states. People like my son with disabilities need all the support they can get. Thank you for your support and wishing you many more blessings to come."

Another supporter of Song Joong also expressed her adoration towards him, adding that his heart of gold is among the primary reasons why everyone loves him.

"Great and amazing Song Joong Ki.. Good job Oppa! That is why everybody loves you. God bless you always and keep safe. Saranghaeyo."
