Taika Waititi has impressed fans with his writing and directing skills, with his work in What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok, and the Oscar-nominated Jojo Rabbit proving that he's a tour de force of talent. However, whether it's due to some struggles or just to get the movie out quicker, it was announced that Waititi will now be co-writing Thor: Love and Thunder with the writer and director of Netflix's Someone Great, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
Variety broke the news of Kaytin Robinson joining Waititi, though Marvel Studios has yet to comment on the announcement. Still, Variety is usually pretty spot-on with their reports and we're sure that Kaytin Robinson will comment on the news when necessary. Hopefully, her work is noticed and it gets her more work, though we should see Thor: Love and Thunder first and judge that first.
Fans are pretty happy about Waititi continuing to work with Marvel Studios on Thor: Love and Thunder since his work on Ragnarok rejuvenated the Thor character in many ways. While the first two Thor movies do have their fans, most people can agree that Ragnarok is the first great installment with the God of Thunder as its lead.
As of this writing, Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled for a November 5, 2021, release.
