Alden Ehrenreich did a fantastic job as the new Han Solo, but seeing as Solo: A Star Wars Story underperformed in the box office, it's likely we'll have to wait a bit longer before we see him in Star Wars again. Interestingly enough, USA Network has hired Ehrenreich to star in their next dystopian series.

According to Variety, Ehrenreich has been cast as the lead of the series adaptation of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. The book was published back in 1932, and is considered to be one of the most popular dystopian novels of all time.

This was the series description from Variety:

"Brave New World" imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself. As citizens of New London, Bernard Marx and Lenina Crowne have only ever known a rigid social order, a perfect pharmaceutical called Soma, and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex. Curious to explore life beyond the strictures of their society, the two New Worlders embark on a vacation to the Savage Lands, where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion. Bernard and Lenina are rescued by John the Savage (Ehrenreich), who escapes with them back to New London.

Seeing that Ehrenreich fit right in with the dystopian setting of Corellia in Solo, I think it's great he got cast in the series. Besides Solo, he did some amazing work with Hail, Caesar!. I'm just hoping that he'll have the free time to do some more Star Wars work should Lucasfilm decide to make another Solo film or maybe a series.

Brave New World is going to be executive produced by David Wiener (Flesh and Bone, Fear the Walking Dead) and is going to be written by Grant Morrison and Brian Taylor.

No release date has been set for Brave New World.
