Star Wars: Han Solo Becoming a Series Instead?

Solo: A Star Wars Story was setting us up for a sequel, but after its underperformance in the box office, it's likely we've seen the last of the characters on the big screen. What's interesting is, there's a rumor that Donald Glover's Lando will be getting his own series, and what's more, we could be seeing Alden Ehrenreich's Han Solo return in his own show as well.

According to the DisInsider's Skyler Shuler, the reports of a story based on Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke) could be false, seeing that he's heard that it's Han who could be getting his own show. This is what he wrote:

While I would personally love to see another Solo movie hit theaters, I guess I would be happy enough to compromise a full-on series with Han and Chewbacca. Alden Ehrenreich is a fantastic Han, and if a series would flesh his character out more, I'd be onboard. Plus, we can have Han interacting with the likes of other criminals, maybe a live-action Hondo Ohnaka or any of the bounty hunters we've seen in Empire Strikes Back.

As for a Lando series though, I'm not really asking for a team-up with Han. I'd rather see a prequel show where he ends up with L3 and the Falcon or maybe some separate adventure which will bring Lando to his administrator position in Cloud City.

It's been said that Solo was just the first act of a story involving Han and Qi'Ra, and if a sequel won't be greenlit, I think it would be a shame. What's annoying is, a lot of fans actually liked the film once they checked it out. A big factor of its underperformance was Disney's watering down of the marketing to focus on the release of Infinity War. If they marketed Solo 2 properly, I'm sure it would have done as well as Rogue One.

A Solo or Lando series has not been officially announced.
