Solo Star Alden Ehrenreich Had a Long Talk With George Lucas

The spotlight will be on Alden Ehrenreich soon as Solo: A Star Wars Story is only ten days away from hitting cinemas. Some would argue that it's already on him since Star Wars is a ridiculously huge franchise and Han is one of it's most popular characters. Either way, you look at it, there is probably a lot of pressure on the actor.

While he is new to the franchise, Ehrenreich has gotten some great advice from original Han actor Harrison Ford and the character's creator George Lucas.

Speaking with, Ehrenreich revealed that he had spoken with Lucas multiple times. Once when he was on set for Solo and another time when Ehrenreich visited Skywalker Ranch, where they discussed the nature of storytelling, along with everything Star Wars and Han Solo.

"[George Lucas] came by set. Then about a week or two ago, I got to go to Skywalker Ranch and I sat down with him for, like, an hour and talked to him about a lot of stuff like Han and Star Wars and everything. He talked a lot about the museum that he's creating now, which is of narrative art and he was talking about Star Wars and different stories that help free up the imagination of children, to imagine circumstances. He was like, 'You can't do something if you can't imagine it.' And it was really interesting to hear him talk about the value of stories that transport us to another world or make us imagine a bigger and brighter and better life four ourselves."

Ehrenreich speaks highly of Lucas, noting how he gave the actor great advice for the role of Han Solo. It's good seeing the former Star Wars director get some positive spotlight since Lucas did receive a lot of flack after the prequel trilogy came out. Of course, there are those who say that The Last Jedi is worse than those movies but they're wrong.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.
