Solo: A Star Wars Story Co-Writer Shares Fun BTS Photo from Deleted Scene

We just went through Star Wars Day yesterday May the Fourth, and everyone has been posting tributes online. Jon Kasdan, co-wrote Solo: A Star Wars Story, shares this fun photo from the making of the film, and it gives us a gag that we didn't see in the movie.

Check it out:

While it's not really said what this scene was supposed to be, I'm guessing it has something to do with the Kessell Run. There were a lot of wacky things that came out of that gauntlet, and they could very well have zapped the crew of the Falcon while they were in it.

Some may think that this is a deleted scene from Phil Lord and Chris Miller's original version of the movie, but you can see that replacement director Ron Howard is also in the shot. We don't know why they decided to cut this joke from the film, but I have a feeling that the humor would have been too out of there for something like Star Wars. Let's not forget the reason Lord and Miller were also fired were because it was said they were trying to stray too far from the classic Star Wars feel of the movie.

With the month of May, we're getting close to the first year anniversary of Solo. Sure the film ended up underperforming in the box office, but a lot of people are convinced this will become a classic the more people get into watching it. Hopefully it gets enough momentum that Lucasfilm will actually greenlight a sequel.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now available for home video.
