Like every other Star Wars film, Solo was full of neat Easter Eggs, and one of them was the reveal that Lando was actually a nickname for "Landonis." A lot of fans loved the tidbit, but co-writer Jon Kasdan reveals that there is actually more to the real name of Lando Calrissian.
He posts on Twitter:
Seeing that Lando is a character full of swagger and pride, it's fun to know that his name is just as fancy. It may not have come out in the film, but I guess it would be something for the visual dictionaries. They can probably even reveal it in a future film, should Solo get a sequel.
Though Solo may not have met box office expectations, it had nothing to do with how the movie was received at all. In fact, a lot of fans who saw the film have been praising it a lot online, and some The Last Jedi haters have even admitted that it got them back into liking Star Wars.
Personally, I like the idea of having self-contained Star Wars movies that don't really have high stakes. Besides all the great characters, Solo was just a fun ride from beginning to end; and it's great how they gave the Empire a presence without really making them the main villain of the film.
Will Solo get picked up for a sequel? I guess we'll just have to wait and find out. Hopefully the release will be handled much better than the first movie.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is now available for digital and Blu-Ray.
