Listen to Darth Maul's Duel of the Fates Score from Solo: A Star Wars Story

One of the biggest reveals from Solo: A Star Wars Story was the fact that it was Darth Maul running the Crimson Dawn syndicate this whole time, and his appearance was met with a cool callback to his theme from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Now John Powell's take has been released online, and you can listen to Maul's iconic leitmotif.

Though the film isn't scored by John Williams, I think Powell provided a score that very much fits into the Star Wars sound library. He does Duel of the Fates pretty well here, and I'm hoping that they hire him for more SW films down the line. If anything stood out in Powell's work, I would have to say it was the Enfys Nest theme; it sounded like something out of Ghost in the Shell.

Solo has come out to be the least profitable Star Wars movie to ever come out, but it has been admitted by Disney CEO Bob Iger that he was to blame. Solo's release was pushed a bit too early, and its marketing was watered down thanks to Disney choosing to focus on Avengers: Infinity War instead.

Nevertheless, Lucasfilm is looking to make up for it with the home release. The film had just hit Blu-Ray, and it's been getting nothing but positive reviews online. Even people who have admittedly hated The Last Jedi are saying that Solo has warmed them back to Star Wars.

Hopefully, Lucasfilm decides to make the sequel eventually.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now available on Blu-Ray and digital.
