Solo: A Star Wars Story Deleted Character Was Supposed To Be Lando's Brother

In a deleted scene from Solo: A Star Wars Story, we were supposed to meet Korso, the original muscle of Beckett's crew who dies on Mimban. What's interesting is that Korso was almost Lando Calrissian's older brother.

This was shared by Solo co-writer Jon Kasdan who replied to someone asking about Korso:

Though we don't have any official reason to why Korso was cut from the film, seeing his death would have further justified why Beckett took Han (and specifically Chewie) in with his crew. If anything, the movie still makes sense. I guess having Korso be Lando's brother would have been kind of a coincidence, but maybe in earlier drafts, it was Korso's connection with Lando that got the crew to look for him, and not Qi'Ra.

Though the film has underperformed in the box office, a lot of people are still trying to #MakeSolo2Happen online. We didn't get any official announcement from Lucasfilm at D23, but if the Kenobi movie can be turned into a series, maybe Disney+ could do the same with Solo 2. Personally I'd prefer the spectacle of a movie, but maybe all my concerns will be put to rest once The Mandalorian comes out.

For now, The Mandalorian is expected to debut on Disney+ which launches on Nov. 12. As far as box office releases go, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out Dec. 20.
