What goes around, comes around, and Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 10, the finale, has proven this time and again as what was once 1029 cars long separates again and this time, for the betterment of what is left of humanity. The Original Sinners, an extremely fitting title, comes down to Melanie and Layton parting ways once more.

A war is brooding between Melanie and Layton and as both of them try to convince the passengers to stay on their sides, they have a day to decide what happens to the fate of humanity. Layton got the Tailies and the Third Class while Melanie got the rest, including the Brakemen led by Roche. Melanie and Layton were down to an agreement, one that would benefit everyone without any lives being taken.

Along with their agreement comes with the banishment of Wilford who has been a thorn on their heels for so long. They will not kill him; they’ll only send him off the train with suspension drugs good enough for six months so he could have a chance to live. With what is left of his dignity, Wilford got into the car where he would meet his fate for six months on a service train.

Proudly, Melanie and Layton both announced what they have agreed upon. All of the passengers of Snowpiercer would have the choice of staying on the train or going forth to New Eden. Snowpiercer will be under Melanie’s control while Big Alice will be venturing into a hope that there will be New Eden where they could start over with their lives beyond the train.

Layton and Melanie made a promise to take care of each other’s children who would be on different sides with Alex joining Layton with the rest of the people going to New Eden while Miles stay behind Snowpiercer to be trained as an engineer.

On Snowpiercer are Melanie and Ben who would be manning the train; Bess and Audrey who lived their life the best way they know with Bess being the new lead Brakeman and Audrey with her art; Miles will study being an engineer; Gilles; Dr. Pelton; and Tristan who is becomes the new Head of Hospitality.

New Eden journey has Layton; Josie who finally gave their love another chance; Zarah and their daughter, Liana; Ruth who is at peace knowing that hospitality is now in good hands; Javi and Alex who will both man the train; Roche and his daughter, Carly; Oz; Icy Boki; and Dr. Headwood.

The fabricated lie turns out to be the truth. New Eden really exists. The Horn of Africa did not disappoint. While the temperature outside is -5 degrees Fahrenheit, they would not even need suits to come outside. Before the episode ends, a time jump is shown to three months after and Melanie who is driving Snowpiercer saw a missile being launched.

The finale was a poetic justice on both sides. Eitherway, there is hope for humanity, one with Snowpiercer and one with New Eden. As they parted ways, the hearts of the people won. However, questions arise: who set off that missile, where did it come from, and what does that mean? Could it be Wilford or are there more survivors out there?

With the addition of Clark Gregg in the cast, Snowpiercer has more to offer in the story. The ending was so baffling that theories are now forming even when Season 4 is still far away.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 10, the finale, is now streaming on the TNT website and app. All the episodes are expected to arrive on Netflix anytime soon.
