The Lord of Diento, Tryton, is listening to the report of his underling. It turns out they are involved in the assassination attempt on Lauren. It seems the Eastern Empire is targeting Luvierte.
The elf girl charges at Arc, thinking he's involved with the bandits. Arc tells her it's a misunderstanding, but she doesn't believe him. After seeing Ponta, a spirit creature, she realizes that she judged Arc too quickly.
The elf girl reveals she's in the area because she heard the bandits around there were hunting elves. Arc tells her there are no elves in the cave. Shortly after, the elf girl bids him farewell and runs off.
However, Arc is still excited at the thought of it being an event quest where the player helps out a beautiful elf girl. He doesn't know anything about her since she didn't even introduce herself. He wandered around a forest the next day, hoping to find some elves.
Unfortunately, he sees bandits hunting young girl elves. They are led by Udolan, the son of Tryton. Arc is watching from a distance behind the bushes when suddenly, the elf girl shows up.
She quickly attacks many of the bandits, incapacitating them. Udolan decides to shield himself through the kids, causing the elf girl to stop attacking. Arc finally intervenes and teleports behind Udolan so he can knock him out.
The elf girl attacks the rest of the group, effectively saving the young girls. Arc almost effortlessly removes the mana collar that keeps the girls from using magic, his abilities impressing the elf girl. Arc also heals the girls and gets on their good side.
The elf girl uses a Whispering Fowl to deliver a message regarding the young elves that need to be brought back to their homes. She introduces herself to Arc as Ariane Glenys Maple.
Later on, another Whispering Fowl appears, requesting Ariane's assistance. She turns to Arc and asks if she can hire him since he's a mercenary.
