Reki brings Langa to the "S" and gets him hooked into skateboarding. Langa, although he never set foot on the skateboard, he's natural because his background in snowboarding proves useful to him.
SK8 the Infinity is directed by Hiroko Utsumi and animated by Bones as it just premiered in January this year.
Usually, anime series are sprung from the manga series. In the case of SK8 the Infinity, it's kind of peculiar as not only did the spin-off manga series came first before the seinen manga, the anime was released alongside the seinen spin-off Sk8 Chill Out! by Toriyasu published in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace Up. The manga series of the same name by Kazuto Kōjima will be released via BookLive! in March 2021.

Langa also showed a wild power-copying of the technique of Joe where he ends up using Joe's very own technique against him.
It was shown that Reki has inspired Langa for the fight and for skateboarding itself. Despite Reki having an inferiority complex, he still inspired Langa with his encouragement.

There seems to be a delay as regards the release of Episode 10 and neither the production studio nor any of the licensed streaming websites shared the reason as to why there is a one-week delay.
SK8 the Infinity is supposed to be released on March 14, 2021, but due to the delay, what will be airing next week will be Episode 9.5 or the recap of the ninth episode. SK8 the Infinity Episode 9.5 (Recap of Episode 9) will be released on March 14, 2021, at 2 AM JST/ 12 NN EST.
This means that the release of the episode for free and for all will not be until March 28, 2021, at the same release time.

Because of the delay, there are more or less 12 days before Episode 10 of SK8 the Infinity airs and the wait would have to be longer for those who have no premium subscription yet. Hopefully, the production team will be okay and the reason for the delay is nothing serious.
