Netflix Korea gears up for an exciting and entertaining variety show in the coming year, starting with Single’s Inferno 2.

The streaming giant’s content team manager Yoo Ki Hwan spoke about the shows coming to Netflix.

In a press conference, the Netflix official teases viewers with updates and what to expect in the highly anticipated season of the reality dating show.


Single’s Inferno Season 2 Begins Filming Says Netflix Korea

As obtained by a local media outlet, Yoo Ki Hwan shared that the streaming platform is gearing up for “several works with many producers” and ensures that viewers will get to see these shows “one by one steadily every month or two from the second half of the year.”

Interestingly, months after the official announcement regarding Single’s Inferno 2, the content team manager revealed that the reality dating show "has recently been filmed.

He shared in the press conference that the upcoming season will feature hotter and more interesting participants.

In a separate report, the Netflix official also spoke about the massive popularity of the reality show, pointing out how the whole world fell in love with Single’s Inferno.

Speaking of the hit tv show, Yoo Ki Hwan briefly spoke about the controversy involved by some of its participants.

Netflix Korea Addresses Issues Regarding Single’s Inferno Cast Song Ji Ah

As obtained by KBizoom, the official of the streaming giant acknowledged that there had been issues surrounding the fan-favorite Song Ji Ah, who was embroiled in a controversy for using fake luxury goods on the show and her social platforms.

The Netflix Korea content team manager said that they “thought about how the issue arose,” and checked if it was a mistake on their production side or whether a “problem that occurred after production or after the show was broadcast.”

However, he pointed out that it was brought out to the public after the reality tv show officially wrapped up, and there’s no reason to edit out parts of Single’s Inferno.

“The controversy with Single’s Inferno was newly discovered after the show aired. Because there are people who may suffer further damage, we’re not going to edit the whole thing unconditionally,” he explained.

Released on December 18, 2021, the eight-part episode show officially ended on January 8, 2022, leaving viewers hooked on the program.

One of the fan favorites of the show is none other than YouTuber turned reality star Song Ji Ah who went on a four-month hiatus after she was criticized for wearing fake luxury items.

Now, she is slowly returning to her activities and has been keeping fans updated.

Apart from Song Ji Ah, Single’s Inferno cast also includes An Yea Won, Kim Hyeon Joong, Choi Si Hun, Moon Se Hoon, Seong Min Ji, Kang So Yeon, Oh Jin Taek, Kim Jun Sik, Shin Ji Yeon, Kim Su Min, and Cha Hyun Seung.

As for the forthcoming season, Netflix has yet to confirm the premiere date of Single’s Inferno 2.
