Ant-Man star Evangeline Lilly is once again finding herself in the middle of a massive controversy over her latest remarks against COVID-19 vaccines and her involvement in D.C.'s anti-vaccine protest last week. Some of you may recall that in 2020, Lilly declared her stand against vaccines during the height of the pandemic which rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. She would later apologize for the things she said but despite that, it looks like her views remain the same.

Now, Simu Liu is breaking his silence amid the issue to tell a stunning revelation. Taking to Twitter, the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor shared that he was recently diagnosed with COVID-19 but being double-vaccinated and boosted helped lessen the effects of the virus.

Unfortunately, his grandparents died due to COVID while they were waiting for their vaccines to arrive. This led the UNICEF Canada ambassador to raise awareness about the effectiveness of vaccines and how they can actually save lives contrary to the conspiracy theories that have been circulating all over the internet.

Now, Liu didn't actually namedrop Lilly or any other person but the timing of his post seems a little too convenient as his MCU co-star is currently making headlines over her recent activity. I gotta say, mad props to him for actually raising awareness because clearly, a lot of people are still letting their ignorance get in the way.

Meanwhile, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is streaming on Disney+.
