Ant-Man Star Evangeline Lilly made headlines last week after she revealed on social media that she attended a protest in D.C. against the United States' vaccine mandates. Lilly made it clear during the height of the pandemic that she isn't pro-vaccine, something that was deemed selfish by a lot of people. Naturally, the MCU star drew flak for her initial statement and even apologized for it.

Turns out, Lilly's stand regarding vaccines remains the same and her controversial Instagram post has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. The issue is blowing up all over the internet, so much so that even Lilly's Marvel co-star Letitia Wright is getting dragged into the mess.

To those unaware, the star of the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has reportedly been espousing her anti-vax views on the set of the MCU sequel, an allegation that she quickly dismissed. Still, a lot of fans aren't convinced that she's telling the truth, especially after she shared a video in 2020 that seems to oppose the importance of vaccines.

Taking to Twitter, fans lambasted both Lilly and Wright, even going as far as comparing them to their hero counterparts who are portrayed as "smart" people in the MCU. Check out the reactions below:

As it stands, Disney has yet to intervene amid the controversy but considering the company's past actions of reprimanding its actors who are involved in socio-political issues, Evangeline isn't going to be an exception. Now, it remains to be seen whether or not she denounces her involvement in the protest but if she remains firm with her stand, her MCU future hangs in the balance.

Meanwhile, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to resume production.
