Simon Pegg Gives A New Update On Star Trek 4

There might have been very few details about Paramount's Star Trek 4, but it looks like Trekkies finally have a small update on the status of the fourth Star Trek movie thanks to actor Simon Pegg.

Pegg just recently went on an interview with the Hey U Guys to help promote his upcoming film Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and during his discussion with the publication, the Star Trek star who plays the role of the U.S.S. Enterprise engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott revealed that everyone is currently preparing for Star Trek4's production.

"As far as I know, we are pushing ahead," Pegg explains. "We are in prep, I think, for it, but then there's so much to do before we start shooting, like making sure everybody is available."

Pegg's update fits right in with recent reports. During the past few months, word had it that Paramount was looking to start shooting the fourth Star Trek film in January next year and the studio has been considering London and Atlanta as possible locations for filming. Of course, now that the film is currently still in the early stages of pre-production, fans shouldn't expect too many reveals and updates from the studio. We'll just have to wait for more announcements from the film's stars or from Paramount.

Star Trek 4 doesn't have a release date yet but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
