Who is Simon in Disney's Wish Movie?
Disney's Wish is the Animation studio's 62nd animated film to mark the House of Mouse's 100th anniversary celebration.
The story of the musical fantasy film is centered on a woman named Asha who grew up in the Kingdom of Rosas where they learn the traditions of having the power to grant the wishes of the community.
Despite being one of the minor characters in Wish, Simon was the secondary antagonist of the film. He was one of Asha's most trusted friends but ultimately chose to betray her by selling her to King Magnifico, the main villain of the story.
Simon dreams of becoming a great warrior for his kingdom, and in exchange for that, he must send Asha to King Magnifico for judgment.
The irony is Simon was a gentle giant who was based on one of the characters from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleepy. He spent most of his time daydreaming and dozing off on-screen, but what made him stand out was the plot twist of double-crossing his friend.
But who exactly voices Simon in Disney's Wish? Why does he sound familiar?

The Mutant Who Voiced Simon
Evan Peters is best known for playing Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. He also appeared in 2021's WandaVision as Ralph Bohner whom fans initially thought was a variant of Pietro Maximoff.
Peters' popularity grew even more in Hollywood when he portrayed one of the most notorious serial killers on the Netflix series, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. He even won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his haunting performance.
He also bagged a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor.
It is worth mentioning that Disney's Wish is Evan Peters' first time voicing an animated character for the studio, making Simon all the more memorable as a side antagonist in the story.
