While Wizards of the Coast is preparing to launch the new Viking-inspired Magic: The Gathering set Kaldheim, eBay is bringing back one of the most iconic cards in trading card game history as part of its record-breaking auction.
The new auction by PWCC Marketplace is set to crush the ultra-rare PSA 10 Alpha Set Black Lotus card that sold last year for $250,000 USD. PWCC's latest auction is selling a Gem Mint PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) 10 MTG Alpha Black Lotus card signed by artist Christopher Rush.
With only 9 days left before the auction ends, the extremely rare Magic card is currently bidding for $700,300 USD, which is already $450,000 more than last year's record-breaking sale.
According to eBay, there is a Magic card sold every 10 seconds on the marketplace, and it is ranked as the most popular game sol on eBay.
PWCC released a YouTube video about the PSA 10 Black Lotus. "It's a very special investment," PWCC said in the video "I encourage investors to take a closer look. This is the kind of card that diversifies a portfolio in ways that's hard to duplicate."
