Shooting Stars is now a few steps nearer to its highly-anticipated premiere.
Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae worked together for the first time to complete the upcoming romantic comedy series. The 16-episode flick tells the story of Oh Han Byul (Lee Sung Kyung), the head of an entertainment agency’s PR team who meets her greatest nemesis, Kim Young Dae’s Gong Tae Sung.
The drama itself also depicts the realistic set-up of people who work for celebrities behind the scenes in South Korea’s entertainment industry.

Shooting Stars Unveils Official Poster
A few weeks before its premiere, Shooting Stars publicized its main poster featuring the romance between Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae’s characters.
In the material, the two characters sit next to each other on a film set while gazing at each other. Lee Sung Kyung’s Oh Han Byul fixes his hair as she smiles at him, while Kim Young Dae’s Gong Tae Sung stares at her as if he has fallen for her already.

Staff members can be seen in the background, but the main stars remain fixated on each other. Meanwhile, the text on the poster reads, “The only star that will shine to the shining star.” It hints that Gong Tae Sung has set his eyes on Oh Han Byul amid his popularity and success.
Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae Share More Details About Their Characters
In an interview with Elle magazine, the co-stars opened up about their characters and shared what viewers should expect from them.
Kim Young Dae describes his character, Gong Tae Sung, as a lighthearted role that made him think about whether it is okay for him to play the role.
“Out of all the characters I’ve played until now, I think he’s the most relatable and also the most similar to my own personality, so I’m looking forward to [the drama premiering]. I’m curious to see people’s reactions,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lee Sung Kyung expressed her excitement to finally show people what it is like to work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. She hinted that the K-drama is both fun and refreshing, piquing people’s curiosity before the release.
