Green Mothers’ Club is the newest JTBC K-drama that will tell the story of five mothers’ friendships after meeting in an elementary community.

Directed by Ra Ha Na, the series features Lee Yo Won, Chu Ja Hyun, Jang Hye Jin, Kim Kyu Ri, and Joo Min Kyung as they depict the lives of the mothers and the hidden dark side of their friendly community.

Before its release next week, the K-drama dropped the key points (via Newsen) that revealed what viewers should expect from it.

1. Green Mothers’ Club will highlight different types of parenthood

The series cast actresses of different ages who can show how parenthood differs per generation. Lee Eun Pyo will be the “new mom,” while Park Yoon Joo will be the “alpha mom.” All five members in the drama will explain the education values and parenting styles through their acting.

Lee Yo Woon’s Lee Eun Pyo is the opposite of Chu Ja Hyun’s Byun Choon Hee, who always ensures that everything is planned out. Kim Kyu Ri’s Kim Young Mi, meanwhile, has an emotional connection with her child.

2. Most mothers cannot bear to be defeated by other matriarchs

All mothers in Green Mothers’ Club aims to raise their child perfectly for them to grow and become the no. 1 person in the world. With that, they believe that their children would be more successful than others if they consistently rank first.

These mothers, in order to achieve it, start a psychological battle to score information from the parents association instantly. The series will portray their different methods in having the smartest child, but they also want their sons and daughters to feel happier than other students.

3. Friendship blooms despite the battle

After the competitions, the mothers in the series will also develop unique friendships despite not having much in common. They will help each other after digging into their weaknesses and grow closer as they strengthen their friendship.

Green Mothers’ Club will explain the information even more soon after its release on April 6.
