SHINee Helps Medical Staff to Fight COVID-19

SHINee Key’s positive COVID-19 test came months after the K-pop boy group earned praises for paying special tribute to nurses and the members of the medical industry.

Nursing Times reported last year that the K-pop group offered a special tribute to all nurses around the globe for keeping everyone healthy and healing those who are in need.

Key, who attended the ICN Congress from November 2 to 4, left a heartfelt message to the medical workers during his appearance at the conference.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has shown us how much we rely on nurses to keep us healthy and heal us when we are sick – throughout our lives. The ICN Congress is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate nurses’ achievements and mourn those who we have lost on the way,” he said.

Despite educating himself with facts about the virus, the K-pop idol ended up contracting the dreaded virus. Key is the first SHINee member to contract the virus.
