In an online Korean community, citizens sympathized with the actress and expressed their regret over what happened to Shin Min Ah and the drama.
"It's like it has become unofficially banned to talk about this drama...They seemed like they could have gotten the 'Best Couple' award at the year-end because their chemistry was so good," the user said, as translated by AllKpop.
Commenters also noted how it was the first time she became that popular since My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho. Although she is not connected to the concern in any way, it was unfortunate she got hit, too.
What Could Have Been For Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Revealed
Multiple news outlets confirmed that all the press conferences and the scheduled events following the success of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha had been permanently canceled. Kim Seon Ho also lost his projects and brands after his ex-girlfriend posted the statement.
For a series that became a hit one on Netflix, it was highly likely that the show would have received an installment. Outside the streaming giant, it received high scores on MyDramaList (8.9/10), IMDB (9/10), and AsianWiki (93 percent).
Unfortunately, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Season 2 became out of sight because of Kim Seon Ho's controversy, and there is no way to fix that – heartbreakingly.
