What to Expect From Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie
The Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga had a humble beginning. It began as a series of shorts on Keigo Maki's Twitter account.
As of February 2019, the manga has been serialized on Kodansha's Pocket Magazine website and app. Kodansha Comics USA released it in English print on October 27, 2020.
Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie is a romantic comedy manga that follows Shikimori Micchon and Izumi Yuu's strange relationship.
Shikimori appears to have a gentle and cute demeanor, but when Izumi gets into trouble, she transforms into a striking and cool girlfriend.
On the other hand, Izumi is born with terrible luck, as he frequently has signs and other items falling on and hitting him.
Set in high school, Shikimori saves Izumi from time to time, and the number of his injuries has since then decreased.
Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie Manga has 18 tankobon volumes available for sale as of February 2023.
At the same time, Chapters 100 through 107 were translated and published in English.
Meanwhile, the anime has finished airing all of its episodes, adapting the early chapters of the manga.
While the Shikimori anime has been criticized for being overrated and overhyped, manga viewers suggest reading the manga because the development of Izumi and Shikimori's relationship improves with each chapter.

Is Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie Manga Finished or Ongoing?
After nearly five years, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie manga has ended its serialization. It will officially conclude when the 19th and 20th volumes of the manga are released on April 7, 2023.
Given that Izumi and Shikimori are already dating from the start, there isn't much development in the manga compared to other romance series out there.
There is no real plot direction because the manga series is almost episodic, with Shikimori repeatedly saving Izumi from all sorts of trouble and appearing as the perfect girlfriend in everyone's eyes.
Although their interactions were pleasant, there isn't much room for growth in their relationship.
Izumi doesn't really grow as a character, not to mention Shikimori, who constantly saves the day in every chapter. This could also be the reason the manga is coming to an end so soon.
In any case, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie is a good romance manga, but a little underwhelming in comparison to other romance series like My Dress-Up Darling.
On the contrary, fans are expecting to see a time skip in the last chapters of the manga.
Understandably, it will be one of the more obvious choices for the author to make the ending more interesting.
We're also anticipating a big kiss in the final chapter, which has yet to happen in the manga.
If the manga fails to include a kiss between Shikimori and Izumi, I'm sure a lot of romance fans will rally behind me to have it done in any way possible.
