She-Hulk is the MCU's one of the many upcoming projects originally slated for 2022. However, a recent rumor claims that the show could possibly push a 2023 release date. Despite that, fans are still looking forward to meeting Hulk's female counterpart, She-Hulk, played by MCU newcomer Tatiana Maslany. Alongside Ruffalo and Maslany, Tim Roth will also be joining the series reprising his role as Emil Blonsky aka Abomination.

Even though Tim Roth's Abomination was last seen in 2008's The Incredible Hulk, Abomination was spotted again in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, fighting Wong in Xialing's fight club. While some fans thought that this is just another cameo, this is actually Marvel's way of saying that Abomination still exists in the MCU, hinting at the character's return.

Thankfully, Roth's Abomination will have a more prominent role in the upcoming She-Hulk series. Now that the filming of the series wrapped last year, Roth teases that Mark Ruffalo's humor will be one of the highlights of the show.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, She-Hulk star Tim Roth sat down to discuss his MCU comeback as Emil Blonsky, famously known as Abomination.

Roth first praised co-star Mark Ruffalo's humor, "With Mark [Ruffalo], Mark’s hilarious. I mean, the actual on-the-set visuals of him in his CG costume is something I will cherish. He is incredibly funny. He does not take it seriously. I mean, he takes the job seriously, but he doesn’t take himself seriously. He has a wit and gentleness, and the two of them together were very funny."

The actor went on to talk about how some directors allowed them to improvise some of their lines, making the filming unusual and funny, "And we could improvise depending on whom we were working with on any particular day. Some of the directors that we worked with were up for improv, and that was funny. The idea of improvising with those characters in that situation was unusual, to say the least."

She-Hulk will introduce Tatiana Maslany as the titular hero. But aside from that, the Disney+ series will also mark the first time Hulk and Abomination will be spotted on-screen again. Back when Roth played Emil Blonsky in The Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton plays as Bruce Banner, and Ruffalo wasn't cast in the role until 2012's The Avengers.

According to recent reports, Roth's character won't also be the show's main villain. And the big bad for the upcoming series will be played by Jameela Jamil, with a mysterious character name, Titiana.

After being originally slated for 2022, She-Hulk is now rumored to push a 2023 release date.
