She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 1 Recap

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 1, A Normal Amount of Rage, starts with Jennifer Walters preparing for her closing arguments in a case she'll be handling in a while. “What is the responsibility of those with power?” opens the series and it fits her so well.

She ends her statement with a bang saying, Because those with the most power have the most to answer for.” While her co-counsel might not agree with her strong closing statement, her bestfriend and paralegal, Nikki, was sold.

Before they proceed to court, Jennifer breaks the fourth wall and decides to give everyone a primer on what happened to her months before the "fun lawyer show" part. Then, the flashback begins.

Jennifer drives her car with her cousin, Bruce Banner, riding shotgun and Banner shares to her what happened to him, telling her all about the inhibitor on his broken arm which he used to snap back half of the universe and it's still healing plus it keeps him as Bruce Banner.

Jennifer, who was unbothered with what happened to Bruce, has more pressing concerns that she'd like to ask -- whether Steve Rogers was a virgin. However, their chat was interrupted when a spaceship appears on the middle of the road and they plummet down the cliff.

Jennifer comes out of the car, wounded, and she helps Banner out as well but that didn't turn out well for Jennifer. Since Bruce is wounded, too, his blood drops onto Jennifer's open cut, thus, she became a Hulk, too. As shocking as it is for her, she passes out somewhere in the woods.

Upon gaining consciousness, Jennifer is back to her normal form and she wanders into a bar. While cleaning up, she encounters a group of girls having a night out and they are all worried about her. (Girls supporting girls? Who wouldn't love this show?!) She borrows a phone to call Bruce.

While waiting outside, Jennifer encounters a group of men who wouldn't stop hitting on her and they catcall her, too. Little do they know what hits Jennifer could now do. After that, she blacks out once more.

When she wakes up, she finds herself somewhere tropical and going down, she sees the lab of Bruce who calls himself, "Smart Hulk," and he tells Jen they are in Mexico, in a place Tony Stark built for Bruce, even sharing to her it's loaned but now that Tony's gone, it's all Bruce's.

Jen clarifies to Bruce that they hit a spaceship and Hulk confirms that it is a Sakarrian Class A Currier Craft which may be sending him a message but Hulk set that thought aside to explain to Jen what she is currently going through.

Hulk tells her that she got a lethal dose of gamma radiation and Jen freaks out if she's dying. Well, Hulk just paused for a while, and he says he synthesizes Jen's blood, revealing it reacts well with gamma radiation and her blood even healed Hulk's arm.

Jen has no idea how to be a Hulk and she freaks out, demanding Hulk to make her an inhibitor of her own. All Jen wants is to be back to work and to her normal life but when it is too much for her to process, she hyperventilates so Hulk makes her some pancakes.

Over pancakes, Hulk explains to Jen what it is like to be a Hulk and he even takes out a binder which may be a syllabus or guide for her. Hulk puts her into a test, looking at her changing points, and Jen, scared and angry, turned into She-Hulk again, even throwing a door to Hulk.

Jen talks and Hulk is surprised that she has her consciousness whilst being She-Hulk and that was something Hulk himself struggled with for years! Hulk tries to teach Jen the ways of being a Hulk but her mind is dead-set to how being a Hulk would help her in practicing law.

At the bar, Hulk and Jen shares a moment of fun with Hulk reminiscing how he and Tony built it before, saying, “It was a good time during a hard time.” Jen also learned that being a Hulk means not getting drunk. However, that doesn't mean she wouldn't have a hangover.

Jen finally decides to go home and Hulk tries to stop her. This turns into a Hulk brawl! It didn't end up well for the bar, though. While they are working on the bar, they decide to let things go and Hulk keeps his door open for Jen anytime she wants to come back.

Now, for the fun lawyer show, Jen gets to court, about to deliver her closing statement when a woman punched through a wall and Nikki rushes to Jen telling her to do her thing. Jen takes off her shoes and when the woman asked who she is, Jen responds with class, "Jennifer Walters, attorney at law."

Jen knocks down the woman immediately and she fixes her sleeve, as if nothing happened, she says she's ready for her closing argument.

Surprise, surprise! She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 1 has a post-credits scene and it finally settles the thought on whether Steve Rogers was a virgin. While at the bar, Jen was whining about how great of a service Steve Rogers gave to the country and he didn't even experience sex.

Jen even points out that "America's ass" didn't deserve dying a virgin. Hulk finally cuts Jen off and spills the tea that Steve Rogers didn't die a virgin because he lost it in 1943 during the USO tour. Jen snaps out of her drunk character and celebrates.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Episode 2 Spoilers, Theories, and Leaks

Well, there are a lot of things to unpack. First, Jennifer Walter's transformation into She-Hulk is not the same in the comics where she got blood transfusion. Here, Jen got gamma radiation because Hulk's blood dropped on her open wound.

That settles the fact that whoever gets Hulk's blood through an open wound will be like Hulk if their body is capable of the gamma radiation, or will die if it isn't compatible.

As for Jen, second, her blood seems to have something in it that may have caused Hulk's wound to heal faster. This means that She-Hulk may be having a power straight out of the comics where she has healing and regenerative powers.

Third, why are the Sakkarians hunting for Hulk? Theories suggest two things: that they miss their hero and they want him back or that the various rumors point to Hulk backing out for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty because he has a child. Could Hulk have a child he wasn't aware of in Sakaar?

Fourth, there's the woman in the end, Jameela Jamil's Titania. Given that Episode 1 didn't introduce her as Titania and pointing out that Jen said she didn't have any trouble from when she left Mexico to the day of her appearance in court, what does Titania want that she barged into the court?
