Shazam! Fury of the Gods is fast approaching, and yet revelations about the stars wanting to jump ship to the MCU keep on coming. Surprisingly, Zachary Levi, who plays the titular role, almost landed the role of MCU’s Thor. And recently, Meagan Good, who plays the older superhero version of Darla Dudley, just revealed what MCU role she would be interested in taking.
“I would be the female version of Blade,” Good said in an interview with Comicbook.com, “[I] would be a vampire hunter and kick ass!”
As of current, Marvel Studios is working their way in bringing to life their MCU Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali as the titular Daywalker. The actor was briefly featured in the post-credits scene of Eternals, and is now finally set to star in his own film this coming Marvel Phase 6.

As for news on Marvel planning on a female Blade version appearing, it doesn’t look like this will be happening any time soon. If anything, possible future changes could occur once Ali debuts as Blade the vampire hunter.
It’s only natural for DC, Marvel, and Star Wars stars to ponder if they would have any opportunity or place in the aforementioned franchises, seeing as the big three are evidently open when it comes to interchanging roles for Hollywood actors. Seeing as the MCU is continuously expanding and giving more time for new characters and heroes to shine in their screens, it’s highly likely for Good to get the role once it comes up.
For now, though, we’ll be seeing Meagan Good return as the adult Darla Dudley in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, where the Shazamily will be facing off in battle against the daughters of Atlas: Hespera (Helen Mirren) and Kalypso (Lucy Liu).
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is currently slated for its premiere release this coming March 17th. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot is set to premiere on September 6, 2024.
