Shazam! Clip has Our Hero Crashing Into a Building

WB has been really withholding when it comes to trailers and previews for Shazam!. The movie is a month away, and the only full trailer we have is SDCC trailer that was released last year. Either way, the hype is still up for the film, and we have this brief clip of Billy Batson and Freddy testing out Shazam's powers.

Check it out:

It's fun that Freddy would try to get Billy to ‘leap a tall building in a single bound,' seeing that this line is connected to Superman. We don't really see Billy get past the building, but he has a fun moment where he crashes through a window and apologizes profusely. It's these moments that I think will ultimately sell the film, with Shazam being a young kid in Superman's body.

Hopefully we get a new trailer for the movie tomorrow. We don't know why the release of a new trailer is taking so long, but I'm admittedly impressed that a lot of people are still hyped to see this film come to the big screen. I think it also has something to do with the long DCEU hiatus. After Aquaman, everyone just wants to see more of the DC Universe coming to life.

Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam! comes out April 5.
